Lieutenant Angela Dickerson
Lieutenant Angela Dickerson joined the Metropolitan Police Department - City of St. Louis on September 11, 2000. After graduating the Police Academy, she was assigned to the First District. As an officer she served in the Fifth District as the Community Liaison Officer, Central Patrol Detective Bureau, and North Patrol Detective Bureau. While assigned to the North Patrol Detective Bureau she was promoted to the rank of Sergeant on March 18, 2009.
While in the rank of Sergeant, she served in District 8 and was later transferred to the Police Academy. While assigned to the Academy she served as the Assistant Academy Director as well as the Acting Academy Director. On February 22, 2019, she was promoted to Lieutenant and assigned to the Fifth District. On May 13, 2019, Lt. Dickerson was transferred to the Academy as the Academy Director.
Lieutenant Dickerson has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Webster University. She has a Master of Science in Criminal Justice Administration from Lindenwood University. Lieutenant Dickerson is a Veteran of the Unites States Army. She is also a 2013 graduate of the FBI Gateway Law Enforcement Executive Development Seminar (GLEEDS).
Lieutenant Dickerson has been recognized with the following awards: Officer of the Month and 5 Award of Excellence Awards.
Lieutenant Dickerson was born and raised in the City of St. Louis and has two children, Alexis and LaTroy Jr.
